Strands Decider 2B

Strands Labs' open-weight decision model joins the Decisions family: run `strands-decider serve` on your own hardware and route POST /api/v1/decisions to it through AnyRouter BYOK.

strandsagents/strands-decider-2b is Strands Labs' small open-weight decision model (StrandsAgents/strands-decider-2B-hobson-v19, Apache-2.0). Send state and typed questions (noul / choice / score) to POST /api/v1/decisions and get back answers with calibrated probabilities — it returns decisions, not generated chat text, so it produces no free-form output. The published recipe serves a 4,096-token context window.

  • Terminal — anyr decision --model strandsagents/strands-decider-2b (Decisions app).
  • App code — plain fetch to /api/v1/decisions, see the example below.

There is **no hosted API** — the weights run on your own hardware. Install the server (pip install strands-decider), start strands-decider serve StrandsAgents/strands-decider-2B-hobson-v19 --port 8000, and expose it at a reachable origin. Then add a Strands Decider key under Dashboard → BYOK: the serve defines no auth, so the saved value rides along as a passthrough Authorization header the server ignores. AnyRouter charges nothing for a BYOK route, and the model itself is free — you pay only for your own compute.

pip install strands-decider
strands-decider serve StrandsAgents/strands-decider-2B-hobson-v19 --port 8000

curl -fsSL https://anyrouter.dev/setup.sh | bash
anyr login
anyr decision --model strandsagents/strands-decider-2b
Serve the weights, then run it with the native anyr command.
const res = await fetch("https://anyrouter.dev/api/v1/decisions", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: "Bearer " + process.env.ANYROUTER_API_KEY,
